9 months

I am soooo behind on this... the months just fly by so it is hard to keep up with everything! I know last month I said that Goldie hs grown up a ton... but THIS month has been a big one!

Our appointment was a little scary when after two toe pricks Goldie tested positive for anemia. After tears (by mom), and some searching the internet,  Scott and I were nervous. The doctor told us we needed to take Goldie to the hospital and get another test. She had to get blood drawn from her tiny vein. I cried more than she did. She is literally the toughest little girl! The test ended up coming back negative for anemia, she just has low iron. Time to give her some steak!!

Height: 80%

Weight: 16.14 lbs 28%

Size: Size 3 diapers, 6-12 tops, 3-6 bottoms. She is getting so skinny so her clothes are getting bigger!

Milestones: Still eating everything she can see. Speed crawler. Waves at everyone she locks eye contact with. Smiliest little ham. Uses her pincher fingers to pick everything up. Pulls herself up to everything and walks along everything. She can balance by herself and has taken a couple steps at a time... So like really close to walking... and I am so not ready.  Says mama, and dada. Has two full teeth and two breaking through...still smiling though! The two she's getting are a fang and a front tooth on the opposite side haha!

Likes:

- little kids. she goes nuts whenever she sees another kid. she immediately wants to give them loves and kisses.

The ONLY thing we still can't figure out is sleep!! We all are still not getting a full nights sleep.

Rodeo

My family has always gone to the Cassia County Rodeo in Burley, ID since I can remember. It is one of my favorite summer traditions. It brings out my inner country-girl! This year was a bit bitter sweet because it was Goldie's first time, but Scott was in New Jersey for work so we really missed him. Goldie LOVED the animals. She would go nuts every horse or cow we saw. She also really loved the fair food.... tater tots, maple bars, snow cones, scones.... She was in heaven, and would beg for tastes of everyone's food, even strangers! We also go to the 4H auction and watch all my Idaho cousins show their dairy heifers. It is so fun! I actually love watching, the auctioneer sounds just like they do in movies or something.

Not only did we go to Idaho for the fair, but it was also my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary! So all my mom's siblings planned a surprise party for them, and we actually pulled it off! We arranged to have the stake president meet with my grandparents and while they were at the meeting the whole fam decorated their backyard for a BBQ. It looked like a wedding! We had hamburgers, Uncle Matt's homemade fries (the best), cotton candy, liquid nitrogen ice cream, and homemade root beer! My grandparents have accomplished so much in their lives after getting married at only 17. They have beautiful farms, and feedlots, and a love that is seriously the cutest. I am so grateful for their examples. They are two of the most Christlike people I know. We love you grandma and grandpa!

8 months

Goldie has grown up so much this month! I look at her now and see less and less of my little baby and more of a little toddler... So weird! It is crazy to think she has been with us for 8 months! She has totally changed me for the better and there is nothing more I love than being her mom.

Eyes: They are so blue and I'm so jealous.

Hair: She's a blondie! Finally getting hair, but no one can see it because it's so light. She also has like a group of hair on top of her head that forms into a little curl.

Clothes: 6-12 shirts and dresses still a little big but we were ready for some new clothes, and 3-6 bottoms

Milestones: She has grown up so much this month. Waves. I know so cute. Now officially a regular crawler for a couple weeks. Pulls herself up to EVERYTHING. It is making my job so much harder, but is so funny watching her walk around holding the furniture. At night when I go check on her, she'll be standing up in her crib... Like what!? You're too little for this! She can also sit up for a laying position. Took steps in the pool in her little floating thing. You guys I seriously can't explain how much she's grown... it is CRAZY!

- Still crib sleeper... but wakes up at least 2 times a night thinking she's hungry. 

- Lover of all foods. She begs for food if anyone near her is eating.

- Nursing every 3-5 hours during the day. She now knows where to find the food and is constantly pulling on my shirt... awkward!

- Loves swimming

- Running errands and shopping are some of her favorite things to do... I wonder where she gets that from?

- Is an aggressively affectionate little lady. Always pulling you in to give you a kiss that might end in a little bite. If you see two teeth marks on my face, that is why.

- Has the 2 cutest teeth ever!

- Loves giving her Minnie Mouse and llama stuffed animals kisses.

- When we say "yay!" she moves her arms and gets excited... kind of like close-fist clapping.

- Loves frozen treats... Ice cream, smoothies, and snow cones just like mama!

- The happiest, smiliest, sweetest little baby around! She is a social butterfly and loves giving out her adorable 2-teeth smile!

- Thinks fake sneezes, peek-a-boo, and laughing are hilarious.

- Sticks out, clicks, and blows bubbles with her tongue.

- Can suck out of straws and has a sippy cup she likes drinking out of by herself.

A little blurry but so cute!

7 months

My baby turned 7 months! (last week) It is weird to think this time last year she was still in my belly. I feel like she's been with us forever, yet time has gone  by so fast. She is getting so big. this month she's seemed to grow up a ton. She's so long, getting thinner (still has her chubby arms thankfully), has 2 teefies, is the speediest army crawler, and loves to chat!

Eyes: bluest blue

Hair: getting so light! Still some super long pieces, some spots sparse.

Clothes: mostly 6-12 tops, 3-6 bottoms.

Milestones: She is an army crawler with a purpose. I have to watch her every move.. she gets around fast. Pulls herself to stand, knows where her food comes from so is constantly pulling down my shirt, and can feed herself.

- hates going to sleep still

- not quite sleeping through the night

- loves food and will be your best friend if you give her tastes. She literally begs "ehhh ehh"

- Loves swimming and kicking her legs

- retaliates when you bug her by biting (She may be the nursery bully)

- LOVES people-- especially little kids. Although most of them find her too up on their grill... she's just affectionate ;)

- Talking. "gagaga" and "dadada" are happy words then "Mmmma mmmmmaaa" are the sad.

- when she's really mad she cries with her mouth shut. You can just tell she's boiling.

- Won't suck anything just chews everything.

- Still loves nursing.

- Thinks peek-a-boo is like the funnest game ever.

- Is always making a fishy face... I don't know where she learned it.
