Dottie Rae: 4 months

Dottie is growing before our eyes. She is sweet, easy going, and oh so happy. She really fits into our family perfectly, its hard to imagine our life without our little bug. We love you Dot!

Dottie is so teeny tiny! She has such petite and girly little features. She is our little dolly! A cute round head and chubby cheeks then skinny body and arms and legs. Speaking of  arms and legs Dot has LONG arms and legs as well. She is PERFECT!

Head:
Weight:
Height:

Size: 0-3 tops and bottoms, size 1 diapers

Eyes: A deep blue- sometimes they look like they'll stay blue, other times they seem like they'll turn a little darker.

Hair: not much, but the hair she does have is a light brown color.

Tricks: smiles, chuckles, tries to find her thumb to suck, grabs like a pro, a great eater, sleeps well on and off, still not quite sleeping all the way through the night, has rolled over a couple times.

Likes: being looked at- she will just beam, being held, nursing- I love when she looks up at me and gives me a milky smile- my favorite, her big sister- Goldie is for sure the favorite- when she isn't smothering Dot, bath time- we have another fishy on our hands!

Doesn't like: being hungry, tummy time- pretty much the only time she gets mad

Goldie Sue turns 2!

This past Friday (the 25th) Goldie turned two. I am still a little bit in denial! I can't believe my first baby is two. I remember the day we met for the first time, and it honestly feels like yesterday! One of the best days of my life hands down!!

The past couple weeks she has been growing up before our eyes. She basically told us she wanted to sleep in the baby bed- her toddler bed instead of her crib. She calls it the baby bed because its shorter than the crib haha! She has always been extremely chatty but lately she seemed to have taken it to a whole other level. She communicates so well. She is so concerned about everyone's well-being and always says "otay mom?" "otay Dottie?" throughout the day, just to check in :) She loves when Dada comes home from work, and always asks during the day "Dada home soon?" or "Dada funny, I get you!" because she love when Scott chases and tickles her! There is seriously so much to love about Goldie! She is so smart, and picks up things so quickly!

I admire her daring, and fearless personality. She loves trying new things! She has no fear, so sometimes it's scary for me, but she is so tough. I love how active she is, it isn't common in little girls, and we have heard comments about how "she sure knows what she wants" or "my daughter never acts like that" haha which is funny because she doesn't let anyone pick on her, and she isn't afraid to show her tough side ;) I don't mind because those are the traits of a great little athlete ;) She definitely is equally sweet as she is spicy though!

We love watching her grow, but man it makes my heart yearn for the time to slow down. Watching your kids grow is sure bittersweet, but man, it is so rewarding as a parent. We love you Goldie Sue!

Dottie Rae: 2 Months

Seriously still trying to figure out how my little newborn turned 2 months overnight.... Dottie is the sweetest little thing. Very go-with-the-flow, mellow, although she is starting to get a little more fussy, just an all around sweet little thing. I often say I couldn't have dreamed up a better baby. Which with our spicy toddler we need it ;) She is so smiley and loves to be talked to and looked at. Over loved by big sis-- Goldie is always so concerned about dottie's well-being, and often says "oh no! Dottie tie!" or "Hi Dottie dot!" (the nickname Goldie gave her that has stuck) Getting her shots was so sad! Dottie doesn't ever scream cry, its usually more of a whimper, but man those shots made her scream!! Which of course breaks my heart!

Weight: 10 lbs (16%)
Height:
Head:

Clothes: Size 1 diapers, 0-3 tops and bottoms, bottoms are still a little big, but with her long body the tops won't last too much longer, We got her ears pierced!!

Eating: I am nursing and she eats great!

Sleeping: Thankfully... she is sleeping great! She usually sleeps from about 10-6 every night! Which is awesome.. the past couple nights she has been waking up around 4, but really I can't complain about that either.

She is already getting so strong and can stand up with her little bird legs, and pulls herself up to sit, it's so cute but so sad! I want her to stay my newborn forever!!

This is my happy

Last week I was so exhausted. Goldie was sick with a fever, and a sore throat/dry-raspy cough (possibly croup), and Dottie wasn't sleeping, and I was literally losing my mind. Sleep deprived, and crazy from a tired newborn, and sick 22 monther, that just wanted to be held. Let's just say I dumped oatmeal straight in the garbage after opening the package instead of a bowl, and a couple days later I put the cream cheese in the junk drawer instead of the fridge. #winning

This week I'm a new woman! Goldie is better, and happier, and Dottie is sleeping almost through the night! I almost don't want to say that out loud in case I would jinx it... but yay!! Hopefully it sticks. But regardless if I'm sleep deprived or not, I am as happy as I could  have ever imagined, and am so in love with my sweet family.

Family photos are from Emily check her out on insta (@edevenney) because she was perfect at capturing us. No stress! Even Scott had a good time so.... ;)

Dottie's Blessing

Dottie was blessed on October 9, 2016. Scott gave her the sweetest blessing. He is such an amazing Dad to our girls. We were surrounded by family and are so grateful to those who made this day even more special.

Goldie didn't want any pictures... just food.

Still sad we were missing Goldie in the picture, but like I said she wouldn't leave the food.

Dottie Rae: 1 month

It is so crazy how one month has already passed... technically it was last week... So I mean time is flying! It makes me sad how fast babies grow. I forget how the newborn stage only lasts a little.

Dottie has been a little dream baby. She is so mellow, her big sisters opposite ;) She is starting to wake more, and is flashing us the sweetest smiles. She loves to stretch out and she looks so long when she does. Already likes to hold her head up. She sleeps pretty good during the night- just wakes every 3-3 1/2 hours to eat. Just like Goldie, doesn't like being swaddled, but likes a soft blankie by her face. She actually likes her binki! That has been a lifesaver! She only gets fussy when she's hungry, gassy, or around 8 pm.

She is petite with petite little features. Dot's got cheeks for days, one of my favorite features. She's got Balding on top, but has hair on the back, it looks a little darker than Goldie was. Her eyes are blue, but sometimes they look like they might turn hazel, or brown. She has Monson long, skinny, legs, and arms (the trait all my siblings have, but me). She makes faces that look like Scott a lot, but still has her own look. Sometimes her face seems familiar from either mine or Goldie's baby pictures. She is seriously just perfect!

At her two week appointment the doctor told us she has a heart murmur, but he assured us it was common for babies, and should go away with time, but they will keep a close eye on it. She also has an umbilical hernia, which should also fix itself once her abdomen develops more.

We love our two sweet girls with all of our hearts. Goldie has been the best big sister. When she wakes up the first thing she wants to do is "hold you" (hold dottie), and always gives soft kisses, and says "Hey sis!" or "Hi Dottie". Just enough to make my mama heart melt.

Could you die over that little smile!?
