Bumpdate: 22 Weeks

We had our big ultrasound a couple weeks ago, everything looked good! Baby girl was measuring a little behind, but she had all her major organs, that were basically fully developed. It is truly the most amazing thing in the world! The whole ultrasound she was bent completely in half, with her little hands by her face. So tiny and cute. Goldie is still pretty oblivious that there is a real baby in my belly, but she loves lifting up my shirt and giving "bebe' loves and kisses. However, now she lifts up her shirt asking me to give her baby kisses... so I think she's a little confused. How do you even begin to explain to a one-year-old that there's a baby in your belly..??

Pregnancy Symptoms: Besides the obvious growing belly, I still get nauseous and throw up every now and again. By  the end of the day I am sore and exhausted! And its not because I work out, it is literally from just doing day to day chores and playing with Goldie. I feel healthier this pregnancy just because I chase Goldie around all day, and anyone who has a toddler knows that they take a lot of energy :) Being pregnant with a toddler is so much better in my opinion because even when I feel terrible Goldie makes me get up and play, plus you aren't counting down the weeks, they sort of fly by... and I want them to slow down so Goldie can stay my baby for a little longer. I know when baby sister comes she will grow up even more.

Weight Gain: At my 20 week appointment I gained 10 lbs.

Cravings: Slurpees have sounded amazing lately. Ice cream, french fries WITH fry sauce, and cheese fries, even better. Literally hungry all the time, and everything sounds good.

Queasy: Smells still, dishes... ew, I have thrown up in the garbage can too many times to count. Also cooking and meats makes me gag.

Maternity Clothes: I found so maternity pants that I LOVE!! I got them from H & M and they actually fit tight everywhere... my waist, and bum, legs! I am loving them, so I wear them like everyday. That and usually an oversized t-shirt that aren't technically maternity wear but just semi-flattering haha.

Movement: The movements are just getting bigger and bigger! I love feeling her tumble and kick! It is hands down the best thing about pregnancy. I usually only feel the movements at night because I have no time during the day to sit it seems! Every now and again I will feel a couple jabs though.

I told myself I would be better at taking pictures this pregnancy and so far, I am no better! I need to be though!

Scott's 26

Scott turned 26 last Wednesday! He had that day off because the company he works for gives their employees their birthdays off as a paid holiday :) Score! We spent the day at the Zoo! We had been wanting to take Goldie forever and we finally went, it was CRAZY busy. It was also spring break for like all of Utah so it was a little nuts. My mom ended up buying a pass so we will get to go a lot more. After the zoo we went to a long awaited trip to the Apple store... Scott has been wanting an Apple watch since they came out, so his birthday was the perfect day!! He was soooo excited, and he absolutely LOVES the watch!

I had a big surprise for him that night, one that I tried really hard to keep a secret. I had planned for his friends to meet at Leatherby's for a little surprise dinner. I told scott I was craving a good ice cream sunday ;) and really wanted to go to leatherby's (perks of pregnancy). When we walked in and he saw his friends he thought that they were on a group date and didn't invite us haha. He was like "You guys like Leatherby's too!?" We all explained that they were here for him! It was so funny.

I am so grateful to have Scott in my life. Right when we met, we clicked, and saw each other everyday after that. We really are meant to be ;) Scott has the best personality and is so friendly and outgoing... guys he's just the best! Happy Birthday Scotty!!

Just signing "bird"

Literally in awe the whole time haha

Easter

Technically it was Goldie's second Easter, but the first one where she could actually participate in all the fun! I did a trail of eggs leading to Goldie's Easter basket, where she found some new sandals, a book about being a big sis, Despicable Me, a sippy, a puzzle, bracelets, and animal crackers! She was pretty excited about the puzzle because it had farm animals... which she knows the sounds to most, so she was saying "bawk! bawk!" in no time. Later that day we went to my Aunt's house for dinner and an egg hunt. Goldie was doing so good at the hunt! She ran and picked up eggs and put them in her basket. It was like she'd done it before! She then got distracted and wanted to jump on the trampoline, swing, and just play outside. She loves being outside... so this weather needs to warm up! Besides the point... but come on! Holidays with kids will never get old, crazy to think next Easter I will get to buy dresses for two pretty girls... probably matching dresses. :)

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love any holiday that is centered around the Savior because it really brings such a happy spirit with it. Also why I love Christmas. It gives me the little reminder to see the bigger picture, and realize why I am here, and how much I have to be thankful for. Goldie now recognizes the Savior and will point to pictures and say "jeezus" when she sees him, and loves watching videos of Christ. It's amazing to me that at that young she knows the Savior, and recognizes him, and she's probably closer to him than I even know. I think it is so important for her to know she is a daughter of God at a young age. I hope she always remembers that. I am so grateful for my Savior, His atonement, and His house allowing me to be sealed to my family forever. To me there is nothing more important.
A little groggy after we woke her up, but contrary to her face, she was sooo excited!

Goldie's little cousin Lila... They are both the loviest babies, so goldie was in heaven when Lila would let her kiss her. Sometimes Lila would kiss her back!

The dimple and the teeth.

Always on the go exploring. It makes for some tiring days, but I wouldn't change this busy girls' personality for anything.

My baby cousin Crew. Goldie was obsessed with him. Wouldn't let go of him, and when he'd try to leave, she'd hold on to his shirt. haha! Crew finally gave in and gave her a love back :)
