3 months

Goldie you are three months!! How did that happen!? You have SO much personality and are such a fun, social baby. I enjoy being your mom so much... that sometimes when you do something new- I cry. But that's okay it's just too cute. You have become so curious and stick everything in your mouth. You grab at things, then stick them straight in your mouth. You have been laughing for a while now... it is the cutest thing... a little nervous giggle! You are so strong... and you always have been. You think you are a big girl and don't like being held like a baby, you want to sit or stand up. You roll over randomly, and are always trying to sit up by yourself. We love you so much miss Goldie Sue, and enjoy watching you learn and grow.

 You LOVE:

- Sucking on anything. Hands, binki, toys, people's fingers... whatever is within reach.

- Bath time. Still kicking and LOVING the water.

- Holding hands and cuddle.

- Men. You little flirt you. You smile and batt those long, curled lashes of yours.

- Standing up. You really flex those little cheeks to make yourself stand tall!

- Talking. Oh my goodness jabber-jaws you have found your voice (you talk as much as mommy!)

- Toys. Especially your ball with the holes in it so you can grab it easier... it doesn't quite fit in your mouth though... and that makes you mad.

- Attention. You are the happiest baby in the world as long as you are being looked at and talked to.

- Noise. Music, basketball games... anything.

- The car. Our little travel and shopping buddy!

You DON'T LIKE:

- Being alone. It's okay I don't either.

- The camera. Just smile for me sometimes! (right as I get my phone out my smiley girl gets a straight face.)

- Women with dark hair. Sorry mom! She loves you it just takes time to warm up. She gets the saddest little frown when people with dark hair hold her. It's funny.

- Going to sleep. You throw a huge fit right as I get ready to rock you to sleep. Then you wear yourself out and give up. You just don't want to miss out on anything!

valentine

This Valentine's weekend was a good one. We headed to Vegas, and on the way stopped in Mesquite and St George to see AuBrey play some soccer. My mom and sisters met us in Vegas for some shopping, lunch and swimming. It was Goldie's first time in the pool and she LOVED it! She was so fascinated by the water... and her little body in a swim suit was just too much.Scott was able to get a beautiful room at the Wynn, but when he went to check in the man in front of him was being so mean to the receptionist, so when Scott went up he was being his regular sweet self... so we got upgraded for free to a penthouse suite. And it was beautiful!! The view was incredible! The whole wall was a panoramic window looking over the city. Such a fun memory. My mom and sisters then headed back to St. George, and we got ready for dinner and ice cream. Scott was one lucky guy because this year he got two dates! It was funny the comments we got pushing a stroller around vegas.. "how did you do Vegas with a baby?"... we don't really do Vegas the same way most do I guess! "She must be your good luck charm!" Well yeah!

Goldie did so well this trip! She was such a good little traveler. She loves the car, and slept good in the hotels. Looks like we will be able to take more road trips with her! Maybe someday I will even be brave enough to sit in the front next to Scott again!

Hanging out in St G with Grandma!

Chilling poolside at the Wynn Resort!

Heading home in style.
Thank you for an amazing trip Scotty! You will forever be our Valentine. We are the luckiest girls in the world to call you ours!

motherhood

Being a mom is so amazing. For me it has been hard to get the hang of... your life revolves around feeding, burping, bathing, diaper changes.... and the cycle goes on 24/7. and somehow it is so fun and rewarding. Even if Scott comes home from work, and I'm not showered, and we're both in our PJ's... I still feel like we accomplished so much. There is probably so much that I do so wrong, but Goldie still thinks I am a great mom. She gets excited to see me, laughs (almost), and beams when I talk to her. It really melts my heart. So not matter what I may do wrong, I know she will always love me because she has two parents that love her so much. Even though she may still sleep with/on me (I know I'm the biggest pushover ever), or take her to give her shots. I am still her mom, and sometimes I am the only one that can calm her down. It is an amazing feeling, but sometimes I feel so inadequate and worry if I am doing things wrong. Then I have to think... Goldie is healthy, happy and so loved. I wish time would slow down because now my newborn is a baby. I guess what I'm getting at is that I am no where near a perfect mother, but I am learning, and I am so enjoying getting to know my sweet little girl! Thank you for choosing me as your mom Goldie, I am forever grateful.

2 months

Goldie's 2 month checkup:
weight: 12.3 lbs (70%)
height: 22 in (61%)
head: 39.6 cm (85%)

She went to the doctor's yesterday for 3 shots... it was literally the saddest thing ever. She was looking up at me just crying and it kind of made me tear up.

I have loved learning how to become her mama. I am learning to function with less sleep, and spend my days just staring at goldie and talking to her, and of course, if you haven't seen my instagram, taking pictures of her! She is so dang cute, and has the cutest littler personality.

Goldie loves:

- bath time. She loves to kick her feet and lick to try to taste the soap

- being naked, which includes diaper changes. She cheeses the whole time

- standing up or sitting up... she thinks she's way bigger than she really is.

- talking and smiling, batting eyelashes.. to die for!

- sucking her hands and binki... she always needs something in her mouth.

- her tongue. She has found it, loves sticking it out.

- kisses... If you like slobbery, open-mouth kisses... Goldie gives some good ones!

- holding hands

- car rides

- eating of course.

Goldie doesn't like:

- not being looked at while she's awake. home girl loves attention.

- getting dressed

- sleeping by herself (I know... but I don't mind)

- being swaddled

Now get ready for a picture overload!!

all smiles: one month

I can't believe another year has come and gone... and what a year it has been! So many fun things have happened, but Goldie has by far been the highlight. I can't believe she is now 6 weeks... my goodness she is growing up way too fast. She has so much personality already!

- super smiley. She'll smile so big it shows off her under eye dimple... I have the same one!
- loves to be talked to anything that keeps the attention on her
- sweet personality
- loves to cuddle
- snorts when hungry (it's the cutest thing ever :)
- gets super mad when she isn't fed right when she's hungry
- so expressive and her eyebrows tell a story.
- loves being naked and getting diaper changed
- goes through 10 minute stretching routine every time she wakes up.. it's hilarious
-  desperately trying to find thumb to suck.. but ends up punching herself in the face
- loves getting kisses- she thinks it's so funny
- eating is the best part of her day
- enjoys ca rides
- lifts up head.. so strong!
- loves noise and light
- follows voices and people
- still figuring out that she should be asleep at 3 a.m.

I can't believe I am her mom... she makes my days so much more exciting. Her smile melts my heart and makes sleepless nights totally worth it. She is wrapped around our finger. Time needs to slow down now! I love her so much and feel so blessed to be Goldie's mama.
