Baby #2

We are so excited to announce that baby Probert #2 is on the way! My official due date is August 22, but after our first doctor's appointment speaking with the doctor about my previous C-section it could be a week before. Okay fine by me :) Since I did end up having an emergency C-section the doctor recommended having another C-section, especially based on my body's anatomy.

I won't lie, Goldie's birth went nothing like I expected, and sometimes I find myself feeling kind of guilty about it. I wanted to go into labor naturally and have the doctors put her up on my chest right after she was born... and I would just get to hold her and take in the moment. However, things went differently. After 38 hours of labor, and 24 of them being without an epidural, a C-section, my body was EXHAUSTED. Like I could barely open my eyes, and I was faint from losing so much blood. I didn't get to hold Goldie for a couple hours because I was so weak. And that was really hard for me.

The doctor made me feel a lot better saying this time around I won't have to go through labor, I can get a good night's sleep the night before, and I won't be 41 weeks pregnant! So I can be as alert after a surgery as I can.

My heart is just so full, and super excited. Motherhood is really something special. There's really nothing else I would rather do :) I am forever grateful for the opportunities I have had to become a mom!

So far I have been feeling quite nauseous... and have thrown up a handful of times... if not thrown up gagging and trying not to throw up haha! I feel bad for Goldie because I have sort have been a lazy mom because maaaan fatigue is hitting me hard!! Hopefully she doesn't remember me laying down in the bathroom while she takes a long bath ;)

Happy New Years!!

We had a great year. It was a year full of fun, learning, and growth... of Goldie, she has grown up SO much this year! I guess Scott and I grew a little as well :) We had some exciting things happen this year, but the highlights would have to be... we bought our first home, and Goldie turned 1!!We really enjoyed our time spent together as a family of three and love being Goldie's parents. She has taught us so much, and for me, I enjoy nothing more than being her mom. I have learned to LOVE rocking her to sleep each night because I know I won't be doing that forever, and I fear that day. Time goes too fast and I am learning to soak everything up as best as I can, because someday it won't be cool to give your mom multiple kisses a day.

This year I really want to MAKE and KEEP my New Years resolutions. Because let's get real... I usually don't even write them down, so I am hoping this will help me :)



Be present for Goldie and Scott. Dishes and Laundry (or Instagram) can wait! I want to take more time to just hang out with my favorite people.

Cook HEALTHY meals for my family. More greens, less treats, but still some treats :)

Do something active every day.

Family prayers each night.

Give hugs, kisses and say I LOVE YOU multiple times a day.

Study the scriptures together.

Soak up every minute!


I think 2016 will be another great year, because I really have some great people I get to spend it with!

Goldie is 1!

Seriously I am complete and total denial that my baby is one!! It isn't even real to me... this morning she drank whole milk for the first time... I have been nursing her for this past year and I am kind of sad that t is officially over. It has been such a pleasant experience for me! But Goldie is ready for some more independence! That's okay with me... I guess... haha!

Height: 65%

Weight: 18.6 (25%)

Words: "Mama/Momme", "Dada", "Me me" (meaning mine, give that to me, pick me up), "Beez" (meaning please), "Aubee" (meaning AuBrey, help me, up please), "Ha" (meaning hi), "Ma" (more). Also signs please and more, waves hi and bye, and blows kisses.

Clothes: Diapers size 3, 12-18 month tops/dresses, 6-12 bottoms

Hair: blonde, and starting to get longer, I have to brush it now! She gets some crazy bed head!

Eyes: Light blue, so beautiful!

Milestones: whole milk drinker, starting to like her carseat again, feeds herself snack foods,  the best little mommy to her dolls/stuffed animals, walking around EVERYWHERE she's so fast.

Favorites:

- Food... most of the time she eats everything, but sometimes she thinks she's picky

Goldie's Wild ONE!

We celebrated Goldie's first birthday a little early because her birthday is so close to Thanksgiving we figured we would do it the weekend before. It was so fun to celebrate with our friends and family. Goldie was a little confused, and had no idea what was going on the whole time. She has never opened a present before so she didn't know what to do when one was placed in front of her. And her smash cake was sooooo funny. She wouldn't use her hands to eat it, she would just sick her face in and nibble at it. We let her eat it for like five minutes and she ate quite a bit! No surprise. Happy Birthday to our sweet girl! And thank you to those that came to celebrate!

Goldie's first Halloween

I can't say it enough... holidays with kids are like 50 million times more fun! Goldie loved trick-or-treating. She would just wave at everyone we passed and always had to have at least one candy in her hands at all times. She even got to have her first sucker! I've been putting it off because I didn't want her to be addicted to sugar, but man I couldn't pry it out of her little fingers even if I tried. We didn't go to that many houses because it was cold and she likes to walk everywhere so we are really slow. Now we are looking forward to Christmas!! We may just decorate a little early....

What happens when you take food away... 

11 months

HOLY COW! 11 months have officially come and gone and I really cannot believe it. So crazy to think that next month my baby will turn one. She has the most fun-loving personality, and is so goofy. This month I could really tell that she is turning into a little toddler before my eyes. She walks all over the place, and is starting to run... So I spend most of my days chasing her around.

CLOTHES: 12-18 tops and dresses... they are huge but they will last longer right? 6-12 bottoms.. also big but we were ready for new clothes.

EYES: Still blue as blue can be

HAIR: Really starting to come in, and it seems like it will have my thick, fluffy texture... so get ready to have some large hair Goldie! It is starting to get more and more blonde as well.

WORDS: She says mum or mama, dada, she's said papa, baba (baby I'm guessing? She doesn't have a bottle.) Her newest thing is she puts my phone to her ear and says "Hi-ya" like hello. She signs more still and we are trying to teach her please.

NEW TRICKS: She dribbles a soccer ball around! It is the cutest thing ever... She's like really good at it too! She dances when music comes on, which is so fun as you could imagine.
