4 months

It's that time again... Goldie is four months! I can't believe it. She is growing so fast I literally can't keep up. She is always making me smile with her cute little personality.

Weight: 14 lbs 9 oz 60%- doubled since birth! She is totally thinning out though.

Length: 25.5 in 90% (obviously she gets her height from daddy) She has such a long body, and a high bum crack :) then short little legs!

Head Cir.: 41.6 cm 80%

Eyes: The bluest blue! They are so beautiful. She has perfectly curled long eyelashes too! I wonder if they will stay this blue.

Hair: light brown, or dark blonde... Sometimes it looks brown sometimes it looks blonde...  oh the mystery!!

Clothes: 0-3 bottoms, 3-6 tops, size 2 diapers.

Milestones:

- takes steps on her own.

- is so close to sitting up by herself. She pulls herself up then will just balance in some sort of ab exercise. Sits in a bumbo.

- starting to sleep better... but is still inconsistent. Usually wakes up twice a night, but is getting better. Still takes like 20 min naps though. Help! I can't get anything done haha. She doesn't want to miss anything.

- ears pierced! Ah!

- So close to rolling. She gets stuck on her side. She always seems to roll when I'm not looking!

- Grabs at faces, toys, binki and now food and drinks.

- Can take her binki out and put it in

Likes:

- grabbing her toes- now she's trying to put them in her mouth!

- talking. Sorry Scotty you are going to have two chatterboxes now ;)

- still so fascinated with water.

- kicking when she is excited

- toys. Anything is a toy that she can suck on.

- dancing and music.

- her binki for bed

- nursing. She loves looking at me and smiling and always has to have a tight grip on my shirt.

- kisses. She now grabs your face to give you a big wet one.

- blowing spit bubbles. So. Much. Slobber.

- food. She really wants some! Scott thinks its funny to let her lick food... it is pretty cute to see her little tongue go crazy. We get to try rice cereal this month!

- still loves standing up. She freaks when I try to hold her like a baby.

- smiling at herself in the mirror

- tummy sleeper... just like mama and daddy!

Baby girl you are growing up so fast! We love you so much!

Have you seen a better pouty face?? I'm in trouble!

Heyyy!

After her early morning feeding.... So tired!

Trying so hard to sit up!

  1. Love reading your blog and learning about your family. Said I'd never pierce my baby ears too...until I saw a baby girl no older than a month old in her mother's Moby wrap sleeping, head poked out wearing little pearl studs! My heart melted asked Rick and our pediatrician. She got little pearls too and looked like a little cherub. Think you are a smart mommy getting her ears pierced now when mommy can care for them.

I was a bit surprised, but our pediatrician recommended doing it under a year or six months if possible. She encouraged me to do it showing me a picture of her little girl with gold balls at 4 months. She gave me some tips for mom having their babies and little girls ears pierced.

There is nothing sweeter than a baby with pierced earrings. It makes them look so feminine and ingénue. Our daughter is two now and is girlie-girl. She loves changing her earrings to match her dresses.

Any moms looking for more research on "to pierce or not to pierce," drop me an e-mail for our ped's suggestions.

Your daughter will look adorable in her Easter pictures with those cute little gold studs in her ears.
