Seriously still trying to figure out how my little newborn turned 2 months overnight.... Dottie is the sweetest little thing. Very go-with-the-flow, mellow, although she is starting to get a little more fussy, just an all around sweet little thing. I often say I couldn't have dreamed up a better baby. Which with our spicy toddler we need it ;) She is so smiley and loves to be talked to and looked at. Over loved by big sis-- Goldie is always so concerned about dottie's well-being, and often says "oh no! Dottie tie!" or "Hi Dottie dot!" (the nickname Goldie gave her that has stuck) Getting her shots was so sad! Dottie doesn't ever scream cry, its usually more of a whimper, but man those shots made her scream!! Which of course breaks my heart!

Clothes: Size 1 diapers, 0-3 tops and bottoms, bottoms are still a little big, but with her long body the tops won't last too much longer, We got her ears pierced!!
Eating: I am nursing and she eats great!
Sleeping: Thankfully... she is sleeping great! She usually sleeps from about 10-6 every night! Which is awesome.. the past couple nights she has been waking up around 4, but really I can't complain about that either.
She is already getting so strong and can stand up with her little bird legs, and pulls herself up to sit, it's so cute but so sad! I want her to stay my newborn forever!!
Love your blog and have your daughter's ears pierced at 2 months! Never thought I'd do it for our little baby girl, Sandi, till I kept seeing other babies and little girls with cute earrings everywhere I went. It seemed as if every cute baby had earrings in my playgroup, church nursery, MDO, and shopping!
ReplyDeleteOne day on the way shopping, I could resist either having them done. When dh asked me where I was going, he was surprised. I told him Sandi kept asking and asking to have her ears pierced. What could I do? I asked our ped and she said 2 months was a good time when mommy could care for them. She encouraged me to go ahead giving me some suggestions for moms having their dd’s ears pierced.
This was a perfect age to pierce her ears! You were a smart mommy for doing it now and following mommy intuition earlier is best when mommy can care for them. Babies and little girls with little pierced ears celebrates their femininity and femaleness.
