5 months

Well, five months have come and gone-- and it has been an exciting 5 months! This past months was especially fun because we have learned so much about little Goldie!

Clothes/Diapers: Still 0-3 pants for her short little legs, and 3-6 tops for the long body. In between a size 2 and size 3 diaper.... she has a high bum crack haha. She is starting to thin out and get really long. Thank goodness she has kept her chubby cheeks!!

Hair: Getting more hair-- and it's getting lighter! Looks like she may be a blondie, but it seems to have a touch a red in the sun.

Eyes: The bluest blue with beautiful eyelashes... jealous!

Personality: A BIG personality in a little body! She is so sweet and smiley and loves when people talk to her or smile at her, she is quite social! However, she is equally spicy, but only when she's hungry or left out. She isn't too big of a mommy or daddy's girl, she just likes attention from whoever!

Milestones: We've got a roller on our hands! She has rolled over when she was 3 and 4 months but only a couple times, now she won't stop! She will do roll after roll until she finds something to play with or she runs into something. She seems to prefer rolling on her right side, she tends to get stuck more on her left.

We have also started rice cereal more into her diet and let's just say she's a great eater. She really can't seem to get enough! You can't feed her fast enough.

Likes:

- Lights

- music and noise

- blowing bubbles and talking/singing

- wrappers and water bottles

- trying to sit up

- walking

- walks

- splashing

- kicking her feet and moving her arms when she is excited

- smiling and laughing

- dancing

- looking at herself in the mirror... still

Doesn't like:

- Sleeping. Help! Haha she will not sleep through the night (still wakes up twice or more) and takes two 20 minute or less naps. She fights going to sleep so bad!

I love you Goldie! You just need to stop growing... but it is so fun to see the sweet girl you are becoming!

Hanging out in grandma and grandpa's bed... she thinks she owns the place.

New favorite toy! Her little feet barely touch the ground!

Love these sleepy eyes

spring

Spring is here and we are loving it! Goldie really loves the sun and sporting her sunnies, going on walks and just being outside. Springtime is always a busy time for us... we have Easter, conference, Scott's birthday, our anniversary, mother's day, and my birthday. Just some of the reasons besides the flowers and sun why I love spring!

Even though Goldie is only four month old, it was still fun to get her an Easter basket and some toys, but I can't wait to teach her why we really celebrate Easter. Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It gives us a chance to reflect on the Savior and all of our many blessings we sometimes take for granted. I am so grateful for our Savior and for everything he does for us every single day. I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing family. Scott is such an amazing husband and is such a blessing in my life, and in Goldie's life. And everyone know how I feel about Goldie. She has shown me a little peak of what life is all about. Being her mom makes me so proud and grateful... and often times makes me tear up probably too much. All of this because He lives and He loves us. Happy Spring!

4 months

It's that time again... Goldie is four months! I can't believe it. She is growing so fast I literally can't keep up. She is always making me smile with her cute little personality.

Weight: 14 lbs 9 oz 60%- doubled since birth! She is totally thinning out though.

Length: 25.5 in 90% (obviously she gets her height from daddy) She has such a long body, and a high bum crack :) then short little legs!

Head Cir.: 41.6 cm 80%

Eyes: The bluest blue! They are so beautiful. She has perfectly curled long eyelashes too! I wonder if they will stay this blue.

Hair: light brown, or dark blonde... Sometimes it looks brown sometimes it looks blonde...  oh the mystery!!

Clothes: 0-3 bottoms, 3-6 tops, size 2 diapers.

Milestones:

- takes steps on her own.

- is so close to sitting up by herself. She pulls herself up then will just balance in some sort of ab exercise. Sits in a bumbo.

- starting to sleep better... but is still inconsistent. Usually wakes up twice a night, but is getting better. Still takes like 20 min naps though. Help! I can't get anything done haha. She doesn't want to miss anything.

- ears pierced! Ah!

- So close to rolling. She gets stuck on her side. She always seems to roll when I'm not looking!

- Grabs at faces, toys, binki and now food and drinks.

- Can take her binki out and put it in

Likes:

- grabbing her toes- now she's trying to put them in her mouth!

- talking. Sorry Scotty you are going to have two chatterboxes now ;)

- still so fascinated with water.

- kicking when she is excited

- toys. Anything is a toy that she can suck on.

- dancing and music.

- her binki for bed

- kisses. She now grabs your face to give you a big wet one.

- blowing spit bubbles. So. Much. Slobber.

- food. She really wants some! Scott thinks its funny to let her lick food... it is pretty cute to see her little tongue go crazy. We get to try rice cereal this month!

- still loves standing up. She freaks when I try to hold her like a baby.

- smiling at herself in the mirror

- tummy sleeper... just like mama and daddy!

Baby girl you are growing up so fast! We love you so much!

remembering

I know that every post I make I say I want time to slow down... because I do. My baby is coming up on four months-- which is so exciting-- but so sad at the same time! How can I have a four month old baby!? It feels like I just had her yesterday. I find myself thinking about that day(s) a lot. It was by far one of the most incredible days of my life. I loved EVERYTHING about it. Even the long labor. And I will just say it... I miss it!!! I know crazy.. but meeting Goldie for the first time was amazing. And every day since then has been amazing. She was the most beautiful little thing I have ever seen (I know I'm biased.. but still). Holding her for the first time is an indescribable feeling. I mean I still can't believe that she is mine! How did we score with such a great baby?! I cry all the time because she is/was just so dang cute!

It is so fun watching her grow and develop a personality. She continues to amaze me how strong she is, and how she can make my heart melt with just one little smile. I just want to soak everything up every day... and remember the way she smiles and batts her eyelashes or the way she kicks her legs when she's happy. To me she is the most perfect baby in the world. I just want her to be little forever, but the same time grow and fulfill her potential. I will always have a special place in my heart for the little girl that made me a mama, the best full time job I will ever have. I LOVE you to the moon and back miss Goldie Sue.

Blessing

Our pretty girl was blessed on Sunday. Scott gave such a sweet blessing. My dad was saying that the whole time she was smiling and talking through her blessing... she knew it was her day.. and she was surrounded by all her favorite guys!  It was a beautiful day and one I will remember. Goldie looked so beautiful in her white dress. Being a mom makes you so much more emotional... everything that Goldie does makes me so happy/sad because that means she's growing up. I can see why people have more than one kid... babies grow up so fast. Too fast.

I am just so grateful to have a husband that could bless Goldie, and have an eternal family. Goldie girl... you are going to do so much good in the world. You already have in our little family. We love you and love that you made us parents. You are such a sweetheart.

Great Papa Dave's famous trick! You got up your first time you tough girl!
