2 years

Scott and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary this past Monday. We left Goldie with my parents for the first time (she survived ;) and we went to Cheesecake Factory and shopping for Mother's day. It is crazy to think that 2 years has already passed by, how much has happened, and how much we've grown. I feel incredibly blessed to have Scott as my husband. He is the most loving, caring, hardworking guy around. Not to mention he is an incredible daddy to our little girl.  Marrying you was the best and easiest decision I've ever made. Thank you for the best two years babe. I love you so much and look forward to many more ahead.

2013

Happy New Year! 2013 was such a wonderful year full of first and fun. The highlight of my year would definitely be getting married. Crazy to think it's already been eight months from that day! It was such a perfect day that I will never forget. Thank you to my mom, and my Aunt Sid and other friends and family, for making EVERYTHING. From the decorations, food, cake balls, and flower arrangements everything was beautiful. Aunt Sid, you are so talented, I can't thank you enough for everything you do. These are only a few pictures from that day.. it's so hard to choose. One of these days I will blog specifically about our wedding day with more pictures!

I inherited a new family! They are all so great. I am excited to have seven new siblings, and seven nieces and nephews.

2013 was the year of moving for me and for Scott. I literally moved more this year than I have in my entire life. After the spring 2013 semester I moved from Logan to Sandy one day before our wedding, then from Sandy to San Diego. We enjoyed San Diego so much. It was extremely hard as newlyweds to only see each other (awake) for a couple hours a day. Scott would go and sell at eight and get home around 10, then I would go to the office around 10 and then get home at 10. We were exhausted all of the time, but looked forward to our short weekends when we got to explore San Diego. In August we moved back to Utah and lived in Orem for about four months. Now we are in Pleasant Grove and, thank heavens, are here semipermantly (thanks to our one year lease).

Getting ready to head to our new home in San Diego.

Got to spend my 20th birthday at Sea World!

We spent a lot of time at the beach...

Six flags!

Paddleboardng with leapord sharks and seals. So fun, but so scary. This was one of our first arguments... Scott kept trying to tip our little kayak thing!

2013 was a brave year for me and my hair decisions. I tried some new things, other than highlights. Some turned out better than others. I decided to try a melt, which I loved but decided to go back blonde for my wedding. In San Diego I decided I wanted bangs... but I didn't know of any salons near. I found one right across the street, when I went in I was the only white person there. It was a salon that specialized in Asian hair. No one really spoke English, but I decided to get my bangs cut anyways and explained what I wanted using hand gestures. And this is what I got. Kind of wish I didn't  cut them because now they take forever to grow out. I also died my hair brown which was HUGE for me. I love it but miss my blonde hair.

There are so many other great things that happened this year and I wish I could share them all, but this is a long enough post! 2013 was such a special year, and a year I will never forget. I learned so much about myself, and about Scotty, and I feel so close to him. It was a great year that we got to spend with each other, and our families and friends. We have such amazing people, and examples in our lives, and are so blessed in so many ways. I am thankful that I was able to get sealed to my best friend, have new adventures, get to know my new family, and try new things this year.

our story

Scott and I met at a Utah State football game for the very first time. We exchanged the most awkward hug ever, and I felt so stupid. I thought that I would never see Scott again, but a couple weeks later I saw him again at the gym. He was playing basketball with his friends and I was running around the track. I thought he wouldn't remember me but after they finished playing basketball, his roommate Eric came up and started talking to me. Scott came up and talked to me a little later. Then he asked for my number and asked if I would want to go out on Wednesday. I really wanted to but I said no, because I had a soccer game. Then I told he I would love to any other day. He said he would call me, but I didn't get a text or a phone call for the next couple days. I went to the gym again that following Friday and Scott's roommate Eric was there too, he came up to me and my roommate and invited us to a concert that night. We said yes! Scott didn't know that I would be there, so he was surprised to see us. We really hit it off that first date.

From that day on we saw each other every day. We had so much fun together and could talk about everything. A couple weeks went by before he asked me to be his girlfriend... except he asked me to ask him if he would be my boyfriend. When we first started dating Scott told me he would want to date for four years before he would get married. That way he would be done with school and have a career. We almost made the four years... Four months later Scott popped the question on Christmas day. It wasn't to much of a surprise because we already had a temple date, however, I had no idea when he was going to propose.

Scott proposed the Christmas of 2012. He had put together a 12 days of christmas box with 12 little presents I was supposed to each day. The last day was a little box and I thought for sure it was a ring. He spent Christmas with my family and that was the day I was going to open the little box. It was the last present I opened, and it wasn't a ring.. but a very pretty braclet. I was kind of disappointed. Then Scott said that he had one more present, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of my whole family. It was so perfect. And so was my ring. I love it! It is crazy how fast everything has gone by, it feels like yesterday we went on our first date.
