Scott's 26

Scott turned 26 last Wednesday! He had that day off because the company he works for gives their employees their birthdays off as a paid holiday :) Score! We spent the day at the Zoo! We had been wanting to take Goldie forever and we finally went, it was CRAZY busy. It was also spring break for like all of Utah so it was a little nuts. My mom ended up buying a pass so we will get to go a lot more. After the zoo we went to a long awaited trip to the Apple store... Scott has been wanting an Apple watch since they came out, so his birthday was the perfect day!! He was soooo excited, and he absolutely LOVES the watch!

I had a big surprise for him that night, one that I tried really hard to keep a secret. I had planned for his friends to meet at Leatherby's for a little surprise dinner. I told scott I was craving a good ice cream sunday ;) and really wanted to go to leatherby's (perks of pregnancy). When we walked in and he saw his friends he thought that they were on a group date and didn't invite us haha. He was like "You guys like Leatherby's too!?" We all explained that they were here for him! It was so funny.

I am so grateful to have Scott in my life. Right when we met, we clicked, and saw each other everyday after that. We really are meant to be ;) Scott has the best personality and is so friendly and outgoing... guys he's just the best! Happy Birthday Scotty!!

Just signing "bird"

Literally in awe the whole time haha

family walks

Family walks are our favorite. We try to go every night, to unwind and talk about our day. Our new neighborhood is perfect for walks! It has a trail going all the way around it, then a fun park in the middle... so we decided to give it a try tonight with Goldie... and she LOVED it. I love seeing her experience things for the first time.

2 years

Scott and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary this past Monday. We left Goldie with my parents for the first time (she survived ;) and we went to Cheesecake Factory and shopping for Mother's day. It is crazy to think that 2 years has already passed by, how much has happened, and how much we've grown. I feel incredibly blessed to have Scott as my husband. He is the most loving, caring, hardworking guy around. Not to mention he is an incredible daddy to our little girl.  Marrying you was the best and easiest decision I've ever made. Thank you for the best two years babe. I love you so much and look forward to many more ahead.

chicago

A couple weeks ago we got the opportunity to visit Chicago! It was such a blast. We went with our best buds Izzy and Eric.

This is what Chicago consisted of:

-Eric is a huge cubs fan so we had to visit Wrigley field.. twice!

-We near mastered the transportation system. The L train and buses.
-We went to the pier and went on a giant spider infested ferris wheel. Eric saved our lives by killing the giant black widow in our little cart.

-Of course we did some shopping on the million dollar mile. The nike store was heaven.

-We ate lots of good food (pizza, hot dogs, cake shakes, doughnut ice cream sandwich...aka pregnant lady's paradise!)

-We visited the bean, so cool!

The people were so nice! Every time we said we were from Utah we would either get, "how many wives do you have?", or "of course, you're friendly and pregnant." So yeah... it was way funny. We loved this trip, and the memories we made! It was the last big trip with just the two of us. Thanks Izzy and Eric for inviting us!

our story

Scott and I met at a Utah State football game for the very first time. We exchanged the most awkward hug ever, and I felt so stupid. I thought that I would never see Scott again, but a couple weeks later I saw him again at the gym. He was playing basketball with his friends and I was running around the track. I thought he wouldn't remember me but after they finished playing basketball, his roommate Eric came up and started talking to me. Scott came up and talked to me a little later. Then he asked for my number and asked if I would want to go out on Wednesday. I really wanted to but I said no, because I had a soccer game. Then I told he I would love to any other day. He said he would call me, but I didn't get a text or a phone call for the next couple days. I went to the gym again that following Friday and Scott's roommate Eric was there too, he came up to me and my roommate and invited us to a concert that night. We said yes! Scott didn't know that I would be there, so he was surprised to see us. We really hit it off that first date.

From that day on we saw each other every day. We had so much fun together and could talk about everything. A couple weeks went by before he asked me to be his girlfriend... except he asked me to ask him if he would be my boyfriend. When we first started dating Scott told me he would want to date for four years before he would get married. That way he would be done with school and have a career. We almost made the four years... Four months later Scott popped the question on Christmas day. It wasn't to much of a surprise because we already had a temple date, however, I had no idea when he was going to propose.

Scott proposed the Christmas of 2012. He had put together a 12 days of christmas box with 12 little presents I was supposed to each day. The last day was a little box and I thought for sure it was a ring. He spent Christmas with my family and that was the day I was going to open the little box. It was the last present I opened, and it wasn't a ring.. but a very pretty braclet. I was kind of disappointed. Then Scott said that he had one more present, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of my whole family. It was so perfect. And so was my ring. I love it! It is crazy how fast everything has gone by, it feels like yesterday we went on our first date.
